(BIPA)

If your organization is utilizing biometric time clocks for capturing employee time clock punch transactions. Once an employee is enrolled in your biometric time clock, their biometric hand or finger template is then stored within Attendance Enterprise (AE) and the time clock(s). These employee biometric templates are governed under BIPA.

As an administrator of AE, it is your responsibility to manage these employee biometric templates, according to the BIPA guidelines.

AE contains the tools necessary for you (as an administrator of AE) to remove employee biometric templates at any time. You must follow the proper steps to effectively remove an employee biometric template from the AE system.

  • Review your Attendance Enterprise (AE) system database to identify if there are any employee biometric templates that should be removed (according to the BIPA guidelines). 
  • Setup & configure procedures to automatically remove employee biometric templates upon employee termination or inactive employment status.
  • Provide AE administrative training for removing employee biometric templates.
