Configuring the GT400 to use static network information must be done at the clock. This must be done when Network the clock is on does not support DHCP, the clock needs to be placed on a specific network, or AOD needs to communicate directly to the clock for polling and updating. Before you begin this process, please contact your IT Staff to obtain the correct Static Network Information.


  1. Press the  button.

  2. Type 1905 and then press the  button.


  3. Press  to highlight Settings and press  to select.


  4. Press  to highlight Device and press  to select.

  5. Press  to highlight Communications and press  to select.

  6. Press  to highlight DHCP and press  to select.

  7. Press  to change the DHCP option to NO and press  to confirm.

  8. Press  to highlight IP Address and press  to select.

  9. Use the keypad to enter the IP address that is assigned to the clock
    1. If one of the segments is not 3 digits long (192.168.1.200):
      1. Enter it with 1-2 zeroes at the beginning to make the segment 3 digits (192168001200)
      2. Press  to skip to the next segment.
    2. If any part of the IP address is entered incorrectly, press  to delete digits and then enter the IP Address again.
  10. Press  to confirm the new IP address.

  11. Press  to highlight IP Network and press  to select.

  12. Use the keypad to enter the IP Network (subnet mask) that is assigned to the clock
    1. If one of the segments is not 3 digits long (255.255.255.0):
      1. Enter it with 1-2 zeroes at the beginning to make the segment 3 digits (255255255000)
      2. Press  to skip to the next segment.
    2. If any part of the IP address is entered incorrectly, press  to delete digits and then enter the IP Address again.

  13. Press  to confirm the new IP Network address.

  14. Press  to highlight IP Gateway and press  to select.

  15. Use the keypad to enter the IP Gateway that is assigned to the clock
    1. If one of the segments is not 3 digits long (192.168.1.1):
      1. Enter it with 1-2 zeroes at the beginning to make the segment 3 digits (192168001001)
      2. Press  to skip to the next segment.
    2. If any part of the IP address is entered incorrectly, press  to delete digits and then enter the IP Address again.
  16. Press  to confirm the new IP Gateway address.

  17. Press  to highlight IP DNS Address and press  to select.

  18. Use the keypad to enter the IP DNS address that is assigned to the clock
    1. If one of the segments is not 3 digits long (192.168.1.23):
      1. Enter it with 1-2 zeroes at the beginning to make the segment 3 digits (192168001023)
      2. Press  to skip to the next segment.
    2. If any part of the IP address is entered incorrectly, press  to delete digits and then enter the IP Address again.
  19. Press  to confirm the new IP DNS address.

  20. Press  until you are back at the Setup menu.

    The clock needs to be restarted before it will utilize newly programmed static network information.

  21. Press  to highlight Operations and press  to select.

  22. Press  to highlight Restart Terminal and press  to select.

  23. Press  until the clock begins to restart.
